A real innovation is the antiglare shield reflector technology of the 'Xerus". A secondary reflector in front of the lamp shields the patient from direct glare and direcrts the light onto the main reflector, so the total area is used efficiently. This achieves an optimum light output and very limited shadow when the light head is postioned. The 'Xerus" is also distinctive in the market as it effectively separates the heat from the light beam. Infra Red wavelengths are filtered out, without heating up the light head. To the touch, the low temperature of the head is maintained, and very little heat falls on the illuminated area. Xerus naturally provides very high colour rendering and cold light features.
